Karen Minikin

BA (Hons) Counselling, MSc Psychotherapy, Dip. Supervision, (Psychodynamic), UKCP reg. Teaching and Supervising Transactional Analyst Karen Minikin (she/her) has a clinical and supervision practice in Wellington, West Somerset.

Karen is a director at SWPC Alliance, as well as visiting other TA teaching venues. She has served for council and a range of committees with her national organisation and is current a co-editor for the Transactional Analysis Journal, as well as current editor for Psychotherapy and Politics International. She specialises in radical and relational approaches in psychotherapy and supervision.

In 2023, she published her book - Radical Relational Perspectives in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy

Within this book, Minikin reformulates the ideas of Radical Psychiatry for the contemporary community, and both honours the historical legacy of including the social and political in transactional analysis and offers a critique of Eurocentrism in traditional relational perspectives. Through personal and clinical illustrations, Minikin encourages those in the TA community to move topics such as diversity from the margins to the centre when working with patients, and to integrate the political with traditional relational perspectives

Dr Briony Nicholls

UKCP reg. Teaching and Supervising Transactional Analyst Briony Nicholls (she/her) has a clinical and supervision practice in Oxford and supervision practice in Teignmouth. 

Briony was Head of TA Psychotherapy at the Iron Mill College Exeter for 10 years between 2012 and 2022. 

Before training in Psychotherapy,  she worked in neuroscience and medical writing, with a focus on neurological and psychiatric disorders. She was also an elite rower and rowing coach. She retains a specialist interest in sports and team performance, and in the links between neuroscience and Psychotherapy.  

Jane Kibblewhite

UKCP reg. Provisional Teaching and Supervising Transactional Analyst, Jane has a clinical and supervision practice in Bath. 


Jane is also an occupational therapist (HPCP registered). She enjoys sharing her extensive clinical experience gained in specialist NHS services and links a creative intuition with robust practice. She has collaborated with UKCP registered psychotherapists from diverse modalities including psychoanalytic, family therapy, and clinical psychology. This collaboration has enriched her knowledge and skills, which she incorporates into her teaching philosophy and style. Throughout her career, Jane has been responsible for clinical supervision and the training of health professionals and psychotherapists, including roles such as Schwartz round facilitator including as part of a debriefing service.

Jane has both personal and professional experience with neurodivergence. Outside of work, she enjoys Pottery (hand building and throwing) and getting outdoors walking her lively border collie.
 

Rosie Harris

UKCP reg. Provisional Teaching and Supervising Transactional Analyst, Rosie has a clinical and supervision practice in Exeter, Devon. 

Rosie has an established private practice in Exeter. She spent over a decade working within the local higher education services offering support to students and growing her interest in working with stress management, neurodiversity and intersectionality. She also has a focus on exploring chronic illness in her practice.

She describes her work as having a relational focus and this extends to her work with trainees and supervisees.   

 



 

Siân Rivers

CTA in Counselling and Education. Provisional Teaching and Supervising Transactional Analyst, Siân has a clinical and supervision practice in Kingsbridge, Devon.  Cornwall. 
 

Siân has an international practice as a counsellor, trainer and supervisor, and has been engaged in this work for over a decade. She is a member of the NCPS and has specialisms in reflective practice for professionals, and in working with parents who are seeking to parent more effectively and in ways which are aligned to their own values. 

Siân’s professional background is as a youth and community development worker, having spent 10 years in youth work practice and then moving into academia and teaching on youth and education degree programmes in UK universities. Her interest in TA began in 2012, and she has spent the last 14 years engaged in her own training and practice, becoming a trainer 6 years ago. 

At the heart of Siân’s approach is a commitment to co-creating inclusive, identity affirming spaces where individuals and groups can deepen their awareness of themselves, others, and the wider systems they are part of. She believes this awareness is key to strengthening personal capacity, enabling people to build resources and respond to challenges with clarity and creativity — discovering new ways to thrive.
 

Vicky Strowger

UKCP reg.  Vicky has a clinical and supervision practice in Falmouth, Cornwall. 
 

Vicky has been a trainee, mentor and assistant tutor of Relational TA in the South West since 2013. 
 

She has over 10 years of clinical experience in her own clinical and supervision practice in Falmouth, Cornwall. Her approach is an integrative, relational perspective based around relationship, working with the conscious and unconscious processes between practitioner and client. 


She is dedicated to progressing her career in TA and is currently undergoing her PTSTA qualification for Supervision and Teaching.
